Meet the Teacher Open House

Who:     Grades K-7
When:   Monday, August 17th *** 1pm - 3pm
Where:  BCA!
Why:      This is an Open House event for you to come to the school, meet your teacher, see your classroom, pick up your "Back to School" Paperwork packet, see old friends and meet some new!!!  This is a casual event...please be aware that teachers and staff will probably be dressed in jeans as they will still be working hard to preparing the classrooms and building for the first day of school.  

New Student Orientation
REQUIRED

Who:     ALL new students and their parents in Grades K-7
When:   Monday, August 17th @ 7pm
Where:  The BCA Sanctuary
Why:      This orientation will cover school-wide procedures and policies.  It is a requirement of ALL NEW STUDENTS and their parents.

Please note:  This orientation will not be a time to meet the teacher and see the classroom.  Classsrooms will  be closed during this time.  Please take advantage and visit during the "Meet the Teacher" Open house (see above).

Staggered Start Kindergarten

Who:     Kindergarteners and their parents
When:   **Last name begins with A-L will attend:  
                         Wednesday, August 19th 8:30am  
              **Last name begins with M-Z will attend:
                 Thursday, August 20th 8:30am 
Where:  Kindergarten Classrooms
Why:  In order to help make your child's Kindergarten experience a comfortable one, BCA does what we call a "staggered start".  Half of the kindergarteners will attend on Wednesday and the other half on Thursday.  Parents are asked to attend the first 2 hours with their child on this day.  No siblings please.   
**ALL Kindergarteners will come together as a full class on Friday, August 21st.
**Please have your child bring his or her favorite stuffed animal. 

Classroom Parent Meetings
PARENTS ONLY

Who:  Parents of students in grades 1st - 7th
When:  Monday, August 24th @ 7pm
Where:  Your child's classroom
Why:  This will be a time for you to learn about classroom procedures and policies, sign up as classroom helpers and meet other parents.  Please review all classroom handbooks and other information before this meeting.  If you have any questions, they can be answered during this evening.  This meeting is very important to your child's success during the 09-10 school year.
