Our Brice Christian Academy Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) is an organization of volunteer parents, grandparents and other family members who work with the school to enhance the camaraderie between the staff, parents, and students.
Our motto for the 09-10 school year is
Connect, Grow, Serve!
Connect: We will CONNECT you to BCA by giving you as much information as possible with ways to get involved in your child’s education. We will do this by:
· Holding monthly Parent-Teacher Fellowship Meetings. This years meeting will be:
*Tuesday December 1st
*Thursday January 7th
*Tuesday February 2nd
*Thursday March 4th
*Tuesday April 6th
*Thursday May 6th
· Keeping an updated webpage on the Brice Christian Academy website regarding PTF activities and ways for you to get involved.
· And last but certainly not least, we want our PTF officers to be available to you for any questions you may have regarding BCA and its volunteer opportunities. You will find an email address for each officer below.
Grow: We will GROW together as a group of parents, Grandparents and other adults who truly LOVE Brice Christian Academy and what BCA stands for. We will all grow together, learning about our past and our future. We want to try new things this year, and we can’t do it alone. We need YOU to be able to grow and become the school support system that BCA deserves!
Serve: We will SERVE GOD by serving our school! We will come together as a PTF and show God that we are here to glorify Him. What better way to do that, than by getting involved in Brice Christian Academy and helping our kids have the best educational environment possible!
President: Stacey Barrett staceykbarrett@insight.rr.com
Treasurer: Joe Koonce
Secretary: Jeri Woodall
Below are a few ways you can get involved with the PTF. Please contact the one of the above PTF Officers or the Committee Chairperson if you have questions or want to know how you can help.
1 School Spirit Committee: This committee is involved with activities that help keep school spirit/pride such as the annual T-shirt Contest and this committee will also be responsible for organizing monthly Spirit Days (such as Hat/Crazy Hair day and other themed days), making reminder calls for special events at BCA and many other FUN things going on at BCA. Chairperson: Sarah Ewashinka
1 Hospitality Committee: This committee was designed to help show hospitality to BCA families and visitors. Some things you can expect by serving on this committee would be helping to send cards and provide (or coordinate) meals to families with the loss of a loved one, the birth of a child, etc. This committee will also be involved in coordinating events such as the annual pizza dinner before the Christmas Program and other things such as the concession stand at the Spring Fundraiser. Chairperson: TBA
1 Yearbook Committee: This committee will be involved in all aspects of creating the annual BCA yearbook. A few of the many parts of this committee are: getting sponsors to help lower the cost, coordinating and taking orders, taking pictures, coming up with the theme AND creating it!!! A LOT goes into our yearbook and many people are needed!!!! For information or sending pictures, please Email: yearbook4bca@yahoo.com.
1 Staff Appreciation Committee: This committee is involved in showing appreciation to our staff. From helping celebrate birthdays to coordinating events for Teacher Appreciation Week, Secretaries Day, School Kitchen worker week, etc, etc. Chairperson: Irisol Stepp and Deb George

Co-Chairpersons: Sarah Ewashinka and Joe Koonce
1 PTF Meeting Childcare Committee: This committee will be a few individuals who rotate monthly to take care of BCA kiddo’s (and maybe some siblings too) during the PTF meetings. This is a VERY important committee!!! A love offering will be asked from parents who utilize this service. J Background checks are required to serve on this committee! Chairperson: Stacey Barrett
1 Prayer Committee: Chairperson: Terri Bridgeham
FUNDRAISING
Here at BCA, we try to keep tuition down, so we then in turn need to rely on fundraising to supplement some of the costs of tuition. Please review the fundraisers below, and see how you can help support BCA.
Order your spring bedding flowers and hanging baskets in time for Mother's Day!!! Order forms will go home near the end of March so watch for further details.

GoodSearch is an Internet search engine with a simple concept and unique social mission. GoodSearch enables you to help fund any of hundreds of thousands of charities or schools through the simple act of searching the Internet and Brice Christian Academy is one of them!
The company was founded by a brother and sister team who lost their mom to cancer and wanted to find an easy way for people to support their favorite causes.
It's simple. You use GoodSearch.com like any other search engine (we've partnered with Yahoo! to ensure great results), but each time you do, money is generated for your favorite cause (in your case, it's BCA).
Last year search engines generated close to $6 billion in revenue from advertisers. Think about what BCA could do for our kid's with even a fraction of that money!
The company's goal is to direct as much money to the organizations as possible, so we're not spending a lot on advertising. That's why we need your help in spreading the word!
We hope that not only will you use GoodSearch as your main search engine from here on out, but will also pass this message on to your friends and family. The more people who use this site, the more money will go to your favorite cause...BCA!!!
Visit www.goodsearch.com today and choose Brice Christian Academy as your Charity of choice!

To order, please return the order sheet to the office by Wednesday, February 20th OR Call Nichele Despas at 614-834-8146 or visit www.MarketDay.com and place your order on line using account #21536. Thank you so much for your support!
