BRICE CHRISTIAN ACADEMY SCRIP INFORMATION

We are excited to share some exciting news with you regarding a new tuition reimbursement program for Brice Christian Academy!!
What Is Scrip?
Scrip is a term that means "substitute money". When you purchase scrip, you're purchasing negotiable gift certificates and prepaid cards that are used just like cash. You can use scrip to purchase everyday expenses like food, clothing, and other essentials, and with every purchase, you earn revenue for our organization.
How scrip generates revenue for you
The Great Lakes Scrip Center acts on behalf of churches, schools and other non‑profit organizations to purchase large amounts of scrip from grocery stores, department stores, and other retailers. Because the scrip is purchased with cash up front, the participating retailers offer a substantial discount. Our organization buys the scrip from Great Lakes Scrip Center at a discount, and re-sells the certificates to families like yours for full face value. The discount ‑ from two to fifteen percent or more – is our organization's revenue.
Scrip is "shopping cart fundraising"
Scrip is a popular fundraiser because families don't have to sell anything. Organization members produce revenue by making regular household purchases they would make anyway. Groceries, clothing, toys, gifts, even gasoline can be purchased with scrip.
Here's how SCRIP works at BCA
Your child and BCA will split the % of profit you make on each order you place. For example, if you buy a $100 scrip (gift certificate) and the % we make is 20% of the $ 100, $ 20.00 would be the profit from the sale; your child would receive $10 of the $20 and BCA would receive the other $ 10. The % that you earn will go towards your child's tuition beginning in January, 2007. You will receive a quarterly report on the % your child has earned. If you do not want the % to go toward your child's tuition, it will all go to BCA.
Anyone can participate in this program (parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, etc.) This is what you do to participate.
1. Go to the BCA website, or pick up the enrollment form and order form from the display in the hallway at BCA. Complete the enrollment and order forms and place your order. If someone else wants to order scrip, you can have them place their order with yours, they can write their own personal check to BCA and you can send their check and order in with your order. Forms can be downloaded HERE.
2. When you are ready to place your order, go to the website ( www.glscrip.com) for the latest list, decide on the amount of each scrip you want to purchase, and send the order form and check to BCA with your child. The orders can be turned in anytime at school.
3. Please write your check to BCA Scrip. Please be sure your child's name and grade are on the check.
4. Orders will be placed every other Friday, beginning October 13th until the first Friday in December 2006. You will receive your order back on the following Wednesday.
We are counting on you to make this program a success! I am thanking you in advance for your participation in this exciting program for BCA.
