Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your path straight. Proverbs (Mrs. Widlicka's favorite verse)
Parents,
Welcome to the first full week of school. Our planners have not arrived yet, which makes communication between home and school a little more difficult. Thank you for your patience in this matter, it should not be much longer.
I have asked your children to bring in an NIV bible, preferably a New Adventure Bible to school. Bibles tend to be expensive, but purchasing them online can save a lot of money. I checked on Amazon.com and found the New Adventure Bibles for as cheap as 1cent plus shipping of $3.99. I would like my students to have their own bibles so we can underline our memory verses and other important verses. The sooner they can get these bibles the better.
MATH: Test over Chapter 1 on Thursday
Math 4 Today Quiz on Friday
LANGUAGE: A note to the family was passed out on Monday. You should find it in the Language Arts folder. It contains information about what we are learning this week.
admire, rally, accident, rascal, magnet, soccer, mitten, gutter, contest, engine, intend, mammal, method, sudden, fabric, happen, custom, finger, flatten, cannon
SOCIAL STUDIES: We are learning about maps. We will be making our own relief maps out of clay this week.
SCIENCE: We are learning about cells. Lesson 1 quiz is on Thursday. Please review the vocabulary. The children need to know the differences between the plant cell and the animal cell.
Thank you for checking over their Math work in the evenings. Asking your children what they learned in school each day is a great practice. You maybe surprised at what they tell you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Widlicka
